Priority registration for the Summer and Fall 2024 semesters at Cameron University begins on Tuesday, March 26. On that day, graduate students, seniors and honors program students can officially register for classes. Priority registration continues on Wednesday, March 27, for juniors; Thursday, March 28, for sophomores; and Friday, March 29, for freshmen.
Cameron University’s George D. Keathley Department of Military Science presented awards and scholarships to members of the Comanche Battalion, Cameron’s Army ROTC Unit, during a recent ceremony.
The Cameron University Department of Art, Music and Theatre Arts will present the 2024 senior art exhibition, “In Flux,” at the Leslie Powell Gallery, 620 S.W. D Avenue. An opening reception is planned for Saturday, April 6, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and is open to the public at no charge. Artwork on display for the exhibition, which will run through May 3, will be available for purchase.
In conjunction with Cameron University’s current academic festival, “Care and Health: A Generational Approach,” the Department of Agriculture, Biology and Health Sciences will present internationally acclaimed martial artist Carlos Machado on Friday, April 5. Machado’s presentation will address how techniques learned through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) can help improve overall mental health. The presentation takes place at 2 p.m. in the University Theatre and is open to the public at no charge.

Cameron University’s CU Be a Therapist, a virtual information session, will present information on how a Master of Arts in Mental Health degree can lead to licensure as a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT) or a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) on Wednesday, April 3, at 5:30 p.m.
Cameron University has set room and board rates for the 2024-25 academic year. Approved by the Board of Regents for the University of Oklahoma, Cameron University and Rogers State University, the new rates will be effective August 1, 2024.

More than 350 students from ten southwest Oklahoma high schools converged on Cameron University recently to participate in the university’s 42nd Interscholastic Contest. The academic meet offered events in more than 45 categories ranging from accounting and biology to woodwind instruments and world history.
