Cameron’s Invitational High School Art Competition and Exhibition to open on April 11




The artwork of high school students throughout southwest Oklahoma will be celebrated by Cameron University with its Invitational High School Art Competition and Exhibition. The exhibition will open on Thursday, April 11, in CU’s Art Teaching Gallery, located in the Art Building on the east side of campus in the Louise D. McMahon Fine Arts Complex. A reception for the artists is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Awards will also be presented.

Entries for the exhibition were open to all high school students in southwest Oklahoma. Both two-dimensional works (paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, etc.) and three-dimensional works (sculptures, multi-media pieces, etc.) are included.

The winning works will be selected by members of Cameron’s art faculty. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place, as well as honorable mention.

The exhibition will be on display through May 3.
