Auditions: They Promised Her the Moon

The CU Department of Art, Music & Theatre Arts will host auditions for the play, They Promised Her the Moon, on August 18 & 19 at 7 p.m. This production revolves around Oklahoma woman "Jerrie" Cobb who was almost the first American female astronaut. See below link for further information about the play. Those who would like to audition should prepare a one-minute contemporary monologue for the first evening of auditions, Tuesday, August 18, and signup for an audition time slot for that evening on the signup sheet posted to the bulletin board outside of the Theatre Building's costume shop. The second evening of auditions, Wednesday, August 19, will consist of cold readings from the script, which will be provided to attendees. Short monologues will be provided for those who do not have one prepared for the first evening of auditions.
Rehearsals will be held Monday through Friday evening from 7-10 p.m., though not every actor cast will be needed for every rehearsal except for the last two weeks prior to opening night. The show will be performed in the University Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, Friday, October 2, and Saturday, October 3.
