This fun and educational event is designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while fostering discipline, teamwork and confidence - all in a safe and supportive environment. Cameron University will honor active duty and retired members of the U.S. Armed Forces during a series of events on Veteran's Day, November 11. Active duty military and veterans are invited to enjoy a complimentary meal from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Shepler Cafeteria, located on the south side of campus along Elsie Hamm Drive. At 1 p.m., the Comanche Battalion, Cameron's award-winning Army ROTC unit, will post the colors to signal the start of the university's Veteran's Day observance. The ceremony will take place in Veteran's Grove, which is located on the north side of Howell Hall and is directly south of Gore Boulevard. The ceremony is open to the public, and members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces are encouraged to attend.

The CU ACTS (Association of Computing and Technology Students) group will host this event, an interactive cybersecurity event that brings together students, tech enthusiasts, and professionals to explore the world of ethical hacking, digital defense and cyber awareness. There will be live demonstrations, quick challenges and insightful discussions from IT and cybersecurity experts. The night will begin with two alumni guest speakers who will share their experiences, career journey and insights into the industry. This is a great opportunity to hear firsthand what life after graduation can look like, ask questions, and gain valuable advice from people who were once in your shoes.
After the speakers, we'll transition into the Hear and Hack Capture the Flag (CTF) challenge. Whether you're new to cybersecurity or already have some experience, this is a fun and interactive way to test your skills and learn something new. If you plan to participate in the hacking portion, please remember to bring your own laptop, as devices will not be provided. Participation is optional, everyone is welcome to attend the event even if you just want to watch, socialize or enjoy the food. The event is designed to be inclusive, relaxed and enjoyable for all students.

Carey Johnson Auditorium inside the Cynthia S. Ross Hall. Then there will be a Celebration Banquet at 6:30 p.m. in the McCasland Foundation Ballroom inside of the McMahon Centennial Complex (MCC). The Banquet will be $30 for student tickets and $60 for general admission tickets.
