High school students who are interested in science – and who may even be aspiring to careers in science, technology, engineering or mathematics – are encouraged to apply for “NanoExplorers: A High School Summer STEM Academy” to be offered at Cameron University this summer.
The Cameron University Concert Band and Lawton Community Band will join forces for a spring musical event planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, March 29, in the University Theatre on CU’s Lawton campus.

This year marks 50 years since the first Cameron University Jazz Festival. To celebrate this milestone, the university has invited award-winning trumpeter, vocalist and songwriter Bria Skonberg to join the CU Jazz Ensemble and the Lawton Jazz Orchestra for a night of music on March 10.

Cameron has scheduled two graduation fairs that combine all the important steps in one location at one time. The first takes place on CU’s Duncan campus, 3100 W. Bois d’Arc Ave., on Tuesday, March 10, in the Learning Resource Center. The fair runs from 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. A similar event will happen Wednesday, March 11, on the Lawton campus, from 8:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. in the McCasland Foundation Ballroom of the McMahon Centennial Complex.
Employers interested in recruiting employees, interns and volunteers are invited to participate in Cameron University’s Red River Career Expo. The annual career fair is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, from 3-6 p.m. in the Aggie Rec Center on CU’s Lawton campus. Employers from all career fields are encouraged to register.
