Cameron University Art Teaching Gallery to display “Observations from Isolation”, a COVID-19 series

The Cameron University Art Teaching Gallery will present “Observations from Isolation,” an art exhibit inspired by COVID-19 created Elizabeth Yarosz-Ash. The exhibit will open on Thursday, November 12, with a reception and artist talk at 6 p.m. The event is open to the public at no charge. The Art Teaching Gallery is located in the Art Building on the east side of the Cameron campus. A maximum of 10 patrons at a time will be allowed into the gallery and hallway exhibition space. Facial coverings are required.

Cameron University to connect veterans, dependents to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs during virtual Veterans Resource Fair

In conjunction with the national observance of Veterans Day, Cameron University’s Office of Veterans Affairs is excited to partner with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to host a virtual Resource Fair. The two-day event will connect veterans and their family members with representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for individualized virtual chats offering information about various services. The CU Veterans Resource Fair will be held, November 4 and 5, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Shepler Center Ballroom. Facial coverings are required.

Cameron University will host its first Virtual Pickaxe Preview, an informational and entertaining session aimed at high school students as they ponder their college options. In previous years, Pickaxe Preview was offered as in-person gathering. Cameron University’s Academic Festival XI continues with generational expert Lynne Lancaster

Cameron University’s 11th Academic Festival, “Connections: Information Transfer Between People,” continues with a presentation by generational expert Lynne Lancaster on Tuesday, November 10, in Aggie Gym. The presentation is free and open to the public; however tickets are required for admission. Tickets may be reserved online at The deadline to order tickets is Friday, October 30. Cameron University offers virtual CU Become a Teacher workshop to assist future educators

The Cameron University Department of Education will hold a “CU Become A Teacher” virtual workshop for anyone who is considering entering the teaching field. The Zoom presentation will take place on Tuesday, October 27. This free, specialized presentation will focus on the multiple pathways for becoming a teacher.
