Cameron sets room and board rates for 21-22; students to benefit from service fee changes


Students attending Cameron University this fall will see changes to the overall cost of going to college, but many of the changes will be ones they should like. Housing rates for students who choose to live on campus will remain unchanged from last year. Cameron also plans to reduce or eliminate some of its academic services fees for 2020-2021. Meal plans will increase only slightly.


Cameron University will host virtual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration


Registration is now open for Cameron University’s and Cameron Campus Ministry’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration. Hannibal Johnson, this year’s keynote speaker, will present “Moving Forward Together: An American Agenda.” This virtual event is scheduled for 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 25, via Zoom. Participants are asked to pre-register at https://www.cameron.edu/MLK to obtain the Zoom link. The presentation will explore diversity, equality, inclusion and related concepts, with an emphasis on our shared humanity.


Cameron University Foundation establishes endowed scholarships for military science students


The Cameron University Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of two endowed scholarships that will benefit military science students in perpetuity. The LTG (R) Randall L. and Carol A. Rigby Endowed Scholarship in Military Science is earmarked for full-time CU students who demonstrate an intent to join CU’s Army ROTC program in pursuit of an officer’s commission. The CU Comanche Military Science Club Endowed Scholarship is open to any full-time CU student, with preference given to students studying military science.


Cameron University’s George D. Keathley Department of Military Science honors Army ROTC cadets with awards


Cameron University’s George D. Keathley Department of Military Science has presented awards and scholarships to members of the Comanche Battalion, Cameron’s Army ROTC unit. The Comanche Battalion recognized cadets for meritorious performance in military science, academics, physical fitness, personal achievement and leadership. Awards are sponsored by the Department of the Army, national and local societies, organizations, and businesses and private individuals.
