Cameron University Civic Symphony to present outdoor concert

Cameron University’s Civic Symphony will present “Going for Baroque,” an outdoor concert in the Fine Arts Courtyard, on Saturday, October 3, at 3 p.m. The program will feature string ensemble music from the Baroque era featuring selections by J.S. Bach, Antonio Vivaldi and Arcangelo Corelli. The concert is open to the public at no charge. Social distancing will be in effect, as well as the use of face coverings. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will take place in the McCutcheon Recital Hall, which will be limited to 50 patrons.

Cameron University names fall 2019 graduates

Cameron University is pleased to announce the names of students who completed graduation requirements at the end of the Fall 2019 semester. Fall graduates are eligible to participate in graduation ceremonies at the end of the spring semester, since Cameron does not hold a. fall ceremony. The 2020 Commencement is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 1, at Cameron Stadium.

Cameron University to honor its Class of 2020 with a virtual graduation celebration on May 1

Friends and family members of Cameron University’s newest graduates are invited to celebrate with the Class of 2020 during a virtual ceremony to be broadcast online later this week.
A celebratory video will be posted at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1, on Cameron’s YouTube channel. That is when the university’s traditional outdoor Commencement in Cameron Stadium would have started had the coronavirus pandemic not forced its postponement until this fall.

Business workshops slated for Cameron University’s Center for Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurial Studies

Cameron University’s Center for Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurial Studies (CETES) is partnering with the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center (OKSBDC) and Great Plains Technology Center (GPTC) for a series of GrowthWheel business workshops aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs. Employers invited to participate in Cameron University’s Red River Career Expo

Cameron University is inviting employers to participate in the 23rd annual Red River Career Expo, scheduled for Thursday, February 20, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Aggie Rec Center. The event will provide participating companies with the opportunity to recruit new employees, as CU students, community members, military families and more will be on-site to meet with national, regional and local employers. Cameron University theatre season kicks off with “Fahrenheit 451”

Cameron University’s Department of Art, Music, and Theatre Arts will open its 2020-21 theatre season, celebrating “Festival XI: Connections: Information Transfer Between People,” with Ray Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451.” The melodrama will be presented in the University Theatre from October 1-4. The curtain goes up on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizens, military, Cameron faculty and staff, and non-Cameron students. CU students receive one free admission with their CU I.D. Due to COVID-19 protocols, seating is limited and tickets must be reserved in advance. Cameron University 2020 Commencement guidelines include social distancing, facial coverings

Cameron University’s 2020 Commencement is set for Saturday, October 10, at 7:30 p.m. in Cameron Stadium. Students who completed coursework in December 2019, May or July 2020, or will complete in December 2020 are eligible to participate in Commencement. Those planning to participate in the ceremony must register at COVID-19 protocols will be in effect for the ceremony.
