“In Flux,” Cameron University’s senior art show, to open April 6 at Leslie Powell Gallery

The Cameron University Department of Art, Music and Theatre Arts will present the 2024 senior art exhibition, “In Flux,” at the Leslie Powell Gallery, 620 S.W. D Avenue. An opening reception is planned for Saturday, April 6, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and is open to the public at no charge. Artwork on display for the exhibition, which will run through May 3, will be available for purchase.

Learn how Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can help improve mental health from Carlos Machado

In conjunction with Cameron University’s current academic festival, “Care and Health: A Generational Approach,” the Department of Agriculture, Biology and Health Sciences will present internationally acclaimed martial artist Carlos Machado on Friday, April 5. Machado’s presentation will address how techniques learned through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) can help improve overall mental health. The presentation takes place at 2 p.m. in the University Theatre and is open to the public at no charge.

Cameron sets room and board rates for 2024-25

Cameron University has set room and board rates for the 2024-25 academic year. Approved by the Board of Regents for the University of Oklahoma, Cameron University and Rogers State University, the new rates will be effective August 1, 2024.
