Bill W. Burgess Jr. Business Research Center to examine link between drug abuse and mental health issues in adolescents


In conjunction with Cameron University‘s current academic festival, “Care and Health: A Generational Approach,” the Bill W. Burgess Jr. Business Research Center (BBRC) will present “The Impact of Drug Abuse on the Mental Health of Adolescents.” The forum will take place on Thursday, March 14, at 4 p.m. in the Mary Lou and W. Carey Johnson Auditorium, Room 111, in Ross Hall. The forum is open to the public.


CU Speech and Debate team competes in state tournament


The Cameron University Speech and Debate team travelled to Tulsa Community College to compete in the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Forensic Association state tournament. The Aggie team of Logan Edward, Lanique Magee, Dominic Mann and Nolan Martin faced competitors from 10 schools.


Cameron University Military Veterans Resource Fair aimed at service members, veterans and dependents


Active members of the U.S. Armed Forces, veterans and dependents are invited to Cameron University’s Military Veterans Resource Fair slated for Monday, April 1, and Tuesday, April 2. The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the first floor of the McMahon Centennial Complex. The building is located at University Drive and D Avenue. Visitor parking is available across the street.


Cameron University to close for Spring Break; Aggie Rec Center sets special hours


Cameron University will mark the midpoint of the Spring 2024 semester with Spring Break from March 18-22. No classes will be held during this time, and administrative offices will be closed. The Eugene D. McMahon Library will be closed from March 18-22. Classes will resume and administrative offices as well as the library will re-open for normal business hours on Monday, March 25.


Cameron University presents visual lecture and art exhibition by visiting artist Hattie Lee Mendoza


The Cameron University art program is pleased to present visiting artist Hattie Lee Mendoza, who will present “Cultivating and Presenting a Joy of Cultural Differences, Influences and Histories,” a visual lecture, on Thursday, March 28, in the McCutcheon Recital Hall at 6 p.m. Following the lecture, Mendoza will be celebrated with a closing reception at 7:30 p.m. in the Art Teaching Gallery, where “Inheriting Joy,” an exhibition of her work that is now on display. Both events are open to the public at no charge.
