Cameron University to offer extended enrollment services hours from January 2-4
Cameron University staff members Lisa Armstrong and Kay Means are the recipients of the 2019 Pickaxe Awards, which recognize full-time Cameron employees whose performance is above and beyond expectations. Armstrong is the Accounting Clerk/Typesetter in the CU Print Shop, and Means serves as Assistant Director in the Office of Admissions. Each received a $1,000 stipend and a commemorative award.
Three cadets from Cameron University's Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program each received a commission as a Second Lieutenant (2LT) in the U.S. Army during a recent ceremony.
The Cameron University Civic Symphony will take the stage for a concert on Tuesday, February 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the McCutcheon Recital Hall.
The Cameron University Art Teaching Gallery, located in the Art Building, will host an exhibit of the Student Art Competition, featuring 81 works art created in a multitude of media. The exhibition will open with a reception and announcement of awards on Friday, February 28, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Calling all Aggie alumni and community supporters! It’s time for a new “Aggie Adventure”! Head to the Lawton campus of Cameron University for the 2020 Homecoming celebration to enjoy a multitude of opportunities to celebrate, reminisce and enjoy life! Homecoming activities geared to alumni are slated for Friday, February 21, and Saturday, February 22. Alumni, friends and supporters can experience a variety of Cameron homecoming traditions, including the Homecoming Tailgate Party, men’s and women’s basketball games, the annual Aggie Family Fun Run, presentation of the annual Cameron University Alumni Association Awards, the annual Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Family Fun in the Aggie Rec Center (ARC) and more. Aggie Homecoming activities kick off on Monday, February 17, with a variety of activities and events for CU students. Southwest Oklahoma residents who are interested in pursuing a graduate degree in business can learn about Cameron University’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL) degree programs during CU in Business, an informational workshop. CU in Business will take place at CU-Duncan, 3100 W. Bois D’Arc, on Thursday, April 2, at 5:30 p.m. There is no charge to attend, and dinner will be provided for all who pre-register. The Cameron University Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the Shirley Dale Endowed Scholarship, which will benefit Cameron University students who are visually impaired. An initial endowment of $10,000 has been made possible through donations by the Lawton Council of the Blind and Tommy Dale, husband of the late Shirley Dale.
The Testing Center at Cameron University has been recertified by the National College Testing Association (NCTA). Originally certified in 2014, the Testing Center continues to meet the rigorous criteria required for recertification, which will be in place for five years.
