Student Support Services, Talent Search/Open Doors and Upward Bound, three of Cameron University’s most critical student support programs, have received grants from the U.S. Department of Education that will allow them to continue to provide significant services to underserved populations through August 2021.

Cameron University’s Civic Symphony will present “Going for Baroque,” an outdoor concert in the Fine Arts Courtyard, on Saturday, October 3, at 3 p.m. The program will feature string ensemble music from the Baroque era featuring selections by J.S. Bach, Antonio Vivaldi and Arcangelo Corelli. The concert is open to the public at no charge. Social distancing will be in effect, as well as the use of face coverings. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will take place in the McCutcheon Recital Hall, which will be limited to 50 patrons.
Cameron University is pleased to announce the names of students who completed graduation requirements at the end of the Fall 2019 semester. Fall graduates are eligible to participate in graduation ceremonies at the end of the spring semester, since Cameron does not hold a. fall ceremony. The 2020 Commencement is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 1, at Cameron Stadium.

Friends and family members of Cameron University’s newest graduates are invited to celebrate with the Class of 2020 during a virtual ceremony to be broadcast online later this week.
A celebratory video will be posted at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1, on Cameron’s YouTube channel. That is when the university’s traditional outdoor Commencement in Cameron Stadium would have started had the coronavirus pandemic not forced its postponement until this fall.
Cameron University’s Center for Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurial Studies (CETES) is partnering with the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center (OKSBDC) and Great Plains Technology Center (GPTC) for a series of GrowthWheel business workshops aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs. Cameron University is inviting employers to participate in the 23rd annual Red River Career Expo, scheduled for Thursday, February 20, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Aggie Rec Center. The event will provide participating companies with the opportunity to recruit new employees, as CU students, community members, military families and more will be on-site to meet with national, regional and local employers. Cameron University will showcase the work of senior art major Luena Comas with a special exhibition in the Sciences Complex. A painter, Comas will present a gallery talk at 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, to introduce the exhibition.
