Discover pathways to teacher certification during CU Become a Teacher virtual workshop

Individuals from all walks of life who want to enter the teaching profession are encouraged to attend “CU Become a Teacher,” a virtual workshop that will present the multiple pathways to becoming a certified teacher. The Zoom presentation will take place on Monday, April 3, at 5:30 p.m. and will offer information to those who have a college degree, those who have earned college credit but have yet to earn a degree, and those who have yet to earn college credit.

To register, go to https://www.cameron.edu/education/events/cu-become-a-teacher to receive a Zoom link to the presentation.

“Earning teacher certification in Oklahoma isn’t ‘one size fits all’ as there are numerous pathways,” says Dr. Stacie Garrett, chair of the CU Department of Education. “Individuals who have an interest in teaching are encouraged to attend this free informational session. The pathways to certification have changed over the past few years, and we want to ensure that aspiring teachers – those who care about children and learning – understand the most applicable pathway to entering the profession.”
