Cameron University has initiated a new partnership with Handshake, a career platform where employers can connect with and recruit college students and alumni.
Cameron officially launched Handshake as its university-wide job board system for its employer partners in September and for students in October.
Handshake makes it easier for employers to access early talent by allowing them to connect with multiple schools on one platform, post job opportunities and collect tracking data. Employers have the ability to use the site to search for qualified candidates on a variety of criteria, like school year, location, interests, certifications, student organizations and unique courses of study. Handshake can also increase job application rates by allowing recruiters to message candidates directly about available job opportunities.
Handshake has become the number one job site for college students to find jobs by striving to help each student find a good job regardless of current location or network.
Cameron students are referred to Handshake to find a variety of job and internship opportunities by the university’s career services and academic departments. Signing up with Handshake will not only allow employers to recruit on the platform, they will also be able to register for the 2026 Red River Career Expo held on the first Thursday in March. Employers looking to connect with CU students and graduates can sign-up for the event at https://app.joinhandshake.com/employer_registrations/new.
