Cameron education students accepted into Kappa Delta Pi education honor society


Seven Cameron University education students have been accepted into the Upsilon Xi Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society in education. Selection as a member of Kappa Delta Pi requires high academic achievement, a commitment to education as a career, and a professional attitude that assures steady growth in the profession. Only those who have exhibited the ideals of scholarship, integrity in service, and commitment to excellence in teaching and its allied professions are granted membership.


Cameron-FISTA partnership recognized by Oklahoma higher education regents


A unique partnership between two Lawton entities has been recognized by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education with its Regents Business Partnership Excellence Award. The award highlights successful partnerships between higher education institutions, businesses, and the community that are intended to further cultivate the higher learning environment through economic development grants provided by State Regents.


Cameron early childhood education student named DaVinci Scholar


Cameron University senior Naomi Robinson, an early childhood education major from Indiahoma, has been named a DaVinci Scholar by The DaVinci Institute, a private partnership of leaders in higher education across Oklahoma. One of four DaVinci Scholars selected in the state, she will receive a monetary award from The DaVinci Institute in her first year of teaching in Oklahoma.


Cameron University Department of Social Sciences honors Outstanding Majors


The Cameron University Department of Social Sciences has honored six students as “Outstanding Majors of the Year” in Political Science, History, Social Studies Education, Sociology and Criminal Justice, the five degree programs that comprise the academic unit. The department also inducted students into academic honor societies during its awards recognition.
