Cameron University holds the line on tuition, mandatory fees for the 2021-22 academic year


Cameron University students will be the primary beneficiaries of action taken today by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, as it approved Cameron’s request to maintain its 2021-2022 tuition and mandatory fees at the same rate as the previous three years. The action essentially ensures that Cameron will remain the most affordable university in Oklahoma for students seeking bachelor’s or master’s degrees.


CU Be an Accountant virtual presentation to provide information about Bachelor of Accounting degree program


Students who are interested in learning more about Cameron University’s Bachelor of Accounting degree program are encouraged to attend “CU be an Accountant,” a virtual meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 29, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Zoom. This free information session, presented by the CU Department of Business and its accounting faculty, will cover degree highlights, accounting career options and CU’s admissions process. Cameron announces Spring 2021 honor rolls


Cameron University has announced the President’s and Dean’s honor lists for the Spring 2021 semester. To make the President’s Honor Roll, undergraduate students must be enrolled full-time (carrying at least 12 hours of classes) and maintain a straight A average (4.0). The Dean’s Honor Roll requires a B average (3.00-3.99).


Cameron University accepting applications for free Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mathematics Summer Academy for middle school girls


The Cameron University Department of Chemistry, Physics and Engineering is now accepting applications for the Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mathematics Summer Academy for middle school girls. The camp takes place June 7-11 and will host middle school girls from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. There is no cost to attend. Space is limited, so interested parties are encouraged to apply as quickly as possible.


Cameron University presents Staff Awards for Excellence


Three Cameron employees were honored as recipients of the university’s Staff Awards for Excellence. Dr. Leslie Cothren, Kelly McClure and Renee Roach are the recipients. Nominations were made by CU students, faculty and staff. In order to be eligible, nominees must have been employed full-time at Cameron for at least one year.


Cameron University and CU-Duncan continue as Certified Healthy Campuses


Both campuses of Cameron University have once again been designated as a Certified Healthy Campus ―the Lawton campus for the 10th consecutive year and CU-Duncan for the seventh year in a row. Both designations are at the “excellence” level, the highest level in the program. The designation is awarded by the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) in conjunction with the Oklahoma Academy, The State Chamber of Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma Turning Point Council.
