Applied Mathematics and Aerospace Engineering Summer Academy

Applied Mathematics and Aerospace Engineering Summer Academy is designed for Oklahoma middle school girls and boys. The program will introduce several aspects within the fields of Science Engineering through the use of academic projects related to mathematics and aerospace engineering that are designed to stimulate creativity, and be fun! The academy is funded by the Oklahoma Aeronautical Commission, The Trent Patton Endowed Lectureship, Clarence Page Endowed Chair in Mathematics and Science Education and Cameron University, so there is NO CHARGE to participants. All project supplies and equipment, instruction by CU faculty, snacks and meals will be provided. This is a residential academy and will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Sciences Complex at Cameron. The academy takes place May 31-June 5 and includes housing, snacks and meals for the participates each day but Friday. On Friday at noon parents and family are invited for lunch. All participants will reside in Shepler Dormitory and will check in on Sunday afternoon (May 31) and depart on Friday afternoon (June 5) after 3:00 p.m.
