An opening reception is planned for Saturday, April 2, at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public at no charge. The artists chose the theme “Emergence,” which is the process of coming into being or becoming important or prominent. As graduation approaches, they are coming into their full potential as artists and college graduates. Completing college degrees is the beginning of their artistic careers however the drive for creativity is deeply rooted.
The artwork displayed in this exhibition features a wide array of subjects and media. The work consists of portraits, figurative narratives, illustrations, graphic designs, abstract works, among others. The media represented includes oil, watercolor, linocut and etching prints, sculpture, charcoal and mixed media. Each work represents the dedication and hard work of the artists.
