Cameron University Department of Business honors students




The Cameron University Department of Business is pleased to announce the student recipients of departmental awards, which were presented during a virtual ceremony on April 19. Students from each of the department’s degree programs – Associate in Science in Business (AS), Bachelor of Accounting (BACC), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership (ORGL), Master of Science in Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL) – were selected, as well as an award honoring the top research student in the department.

Honorees are:

Outstanding AS in Business Student: Jennifer Batchelor, Windsor, N.C.

Outstanding BACC Student: Jason Hebert, Washington, D.C.

Outstanding BBA Student: Kevin Coffman, Valliant

Outstanding ORGL Student: Corey Puckett, Chattanooga, Tenn.

Outstanding MBA Student: Chase Lucy, Lawton

Outstanding MSOL Student: Jacob Carey, Tauranga, New Zealand

Outstanding Research Student: Ndidiamaka “Jennifer” Nwakamma, Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria

“Our students have faced numerous challenges over the past year due to the pandemic,” says Dr. Krystal Brue, Chair, CU Department of Business. “I’m happy to say that they persevered, overcame difficult situations, adapted to new learning models, and ultimately made it through the academic year with the realization that they have gained not just academic knowledge, but critical thinking, flexibility and creativity as well.”

The Cameron University Department of Business is accredited by ACBSP, the specialized accreditation association for business education which embraces teaching excellence.
