Cameron University Concert Choir and Eisenhower High School choir to present holiday concert

The Cameron University Concert Choir and the Eisenhower High School choir will present a holiday-themed program on Tuesday, November 16, at 7:30 p.m. The festive event will be held at the First Presbyterian Church located at 1302 S.W. A Avenue in Lawton. Admission is free.

Directed by Lacy West, the Eisenhower High School choir will sing a medley of traditional carols for all to enjoy.

The Cameron University Concert Choir, directed by Dr. Christian Morren, will sing traditional holiday songs ranging from Mark Hayes’ fun arrangement of “Jingle Bells” to a more reflective arrangement of Dan Elder’s “Twinkle Little Star” for adults and children alike. Dr. J.D. Little will accompany the choir as it performs “Simple Gifts,” which will be followed by “Mary did You Know” and a newly composed version of “Deep Peace” by Elaine Hagenberg.

The concert will conclude with both choirs coming together for the rhythmically driven “Veni, Veni Emmanual” by Michael Trotta.

The concert is sponsored by the Cameron University Department of Art, Music and Theatre Arts.
