Waitlisting

Waitlisting allows you to be placed on a waiting list for a closed course. Once a seat becomes available in the course, an email will be sent to your Cameron University student email account indicating that you have 24 hours to enroll in the course. If you have been issued a PIN, you can log in to your AggieAccess account and register for the waitlisted course. Otherwise, visit with your academic advisor to enroll in the course. If you do not register for the course within the 24 hour period, your priority on the waitlist will expire and the next student on the waitlist will be notified. The waitlist is prioritized by the time you initially requested the waitlisted section.

Waitlisting a Course

Follow these steps to add yourself to the waitlist for a course:

  1. Log in to AggieAccess and click on the My Info tab.
  2. Select the Add or Drop Classes link in the Aggie Registration channel.
  3. Select desired course section to enroll.
  4. Type CRN into Add Classes Worksheet.
  5. Click Submit Changes button
  6. If the section is full, you can choose the Waitlist option to be placed on a waitlist for this course.
  7. Click Submit Changes.
  8. If successfully added to the waitlist, the class will display on your course schedule with a status of Waitlisted.

Waitlist Notification of Seat Available

If a seat becomes available in a waitlisted course, the student in the highest position on the waitlist will receive an email notification of the available spot and the deadline for registering in the course. Upon receiving the email notification, if the student does not register for the class by the stated deadline, the student will be automatically removed from the waitlist. If the student would like to add the waitlisted section again, they would need to repeat the process above to be added back to the waitlist. The student will then be added at the bottom of the waitlist priority.

Waitlisted students who receive email notification of an available seat must follow these steps to register in the class by the stated deadline:

  1. Log in to AggieAccess and click on the My Info tab.
  2. Select the Add or Drop Classes link in the Aggie Registration channel.
  3. Click in the Action column and select the Web Registered option.
  4. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
  5. If successfully registered, the class Status will change to Web Registered on your schedule.

Students can waitlist multiple sections of the same course as well as sections that would result in a time conflict with another class on their schedule.
