New, continuing or returning students who have been putting off enrollment for the Fall 2023 semester are encouraged to take advantage of Enrollment Saturday, a walk-in enrollment clinic scheduled on Saturday, August 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Lawton campus of Cameron University. Participants can head to the first floor of North Shepler Tower, located in the Shepler Center, where they will find assistance in the areas of admissions, financial aid, veterans educational benefits, academic advising and enrollment. The Shepler Center is located off Elsie Hamm Blvd. east of 38th Street; ample parking is available. Additionally, the Student Accounts office, located in the Administration Building, and the Bookstore, located in the McMahon Centennial Complex, will be open to serve students.
The Cameron University Foundation has received a $10,000 grant from Raytheon Missiles and Defense, a business of Raytheon Technologies, to launch a new Military Spouse Program at Cameron University. The pilot program will offer aid to military spouses who are pursuing a college degree. Under the program, scholarships will be available for the 2021-2022 academic year.
For those interested in entering one of the many rewarding career fields that focuses on children and families, CU in Family and Child Studies and Early Childhood Administration will present information about earning a degree, certificate or both and embarking on a career. The free, virtual information session is slated for Monday, April 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Cameron University is pleased to announce the names of students who completed graduation requirements at the end of the Spring 2023 semester. Graduates who authorized publication of their name are listed by degree and hometown.
Cameron University enters the 2023-24 academic year by completing the last projects to meet strategic planning goals established in “Plan 2023: Ambitious Goals for Growth, Innovation and Engagement” while establishing the path toward the next strategic plan.
Cameron University has announced tuition rates for the 2023-2024 academic year. Undergraduate tuition and mandatory fees will increase by $6.50 per credit hour (approximately 2.9 percent) and graduate tuition and mandatory fees will increase by $7 per credit hour (approximately 2.7 percent). Tuition rates for the online Master of Business Administration and Master of Organizational Leadership programs will increase by $7 as well.
CU-Duncan will host the second annual Soaring Aggies Summer Camp, a fun-filled experience for students who are entering 7th grade this fall. Campers will learn about things that fly, glide and soar from Monday, July 17, through Friday, July 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Accreditation of degree programs offered by the Cameron University Department of Business has been reaffirmed by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Accreditation by ACBSP certifies that the teaching and learning processes within the business degrees and programs offered through Cameron University meet the organization’s rigorous educational standards.
Dakota Kaus has joined Cameron University as the director of CU-Duncan, stepping into the shoes of longtime director Susan Camp, who will retire at the end of June. Kaus comes to Duncan from Empire Public Schools, where she served as assistant principal for the middle school and high school following five years as a teacher.
