CU Be an Accountant virtual workshop to provide information about Bachelor of Accounting degree program

If you want to join Oklahoma’s workforce in the fields of accountancy or auditing, both of which are in critical demand across the state, CU Be an Accountant will provide the information you need about Cameron University’s Bachelor of Accounting degree program. The virtual presentation will take place on Tuesday, October 5, at 5:30 p.m. To register, go to https://www.cameron.edu/admissions/events.

This free information session, presented by the CU Department of Business and its accounting faculty, will cover degree highlights, accounting career options and CU’s admissions process. Accounting graduates are able to find high paying career opportunities ranging from traditional accounting work to banking, finance, management and other career sectors.

“Solid accounting practices play a crucial role in the success of any business,” says Dr. Krystal Brue, Chair, CU Department of Business. “The practices of accounting and auditing are significant tools in solving business challenges by helping organizations manage their finances and cash flow.”

Students who pursue the Bachelor of Accounting degree gain a deep knowledge of accounting practices, supplemented by the broader, business-specific skills employers look for. In addition, those who wish to become licensed as Certified Public Accountants are better prepared to take the Uniform CPA Exam®, which is administered by the Oklahoma Accountancy Board.
