Celebrate the holiday season at Cameron University-Duncan tree lighting

Cameron University invites residents of Duncan and the surrounding area to attend the CU-Duncan tree lighting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 30. The event takes place at CU-Duncan, 3100 W. Bois D’Arc Ave. and is open to the public at no charge.

Attendees will receive a free Cameron commemorative tree ornament as long as supplies last and can also pick up a “make your own ornament” kit. Cookies and popcorn will satisfy any sweet tooth, and hot cocoa, apple cider and eggnog will quench your thirst. Cameron mascot Ole Kim will be on hand, and revelers will enjoy a ride on a mini-train.

“We look forward to welcoming our students and their families as well as community members to kick off the holiday season with us,” says Dakota Kaus, director of CU-Duncan. “The tree lighting ceremony at CU-Duncan has become a local tradition. It’s our opportunity to acknowledge the support we receive from southwest Oklahoma.”
