Cameron University Testing Center earns recertification and recognition as a leader in excellent testing practices

Cameron University’s Testing Center has been recertified by the National College Testing Association (NCTA). Criteria for recertification are rigorous and are based on the NCTA Professional Standards and Guidelines, which were developed to guide post-secondary test centers in the delivery of quality testing programs. The facility was originally certified in 2014 and earned recertification in 2019.

The current recertification will be in place for five years and can be renewed by demonstrating continued compliance to national standards.

Cameron is one of only three regional universities in the state to have its testing center certified.

“The Cameron University Testing Center is pleased to retain its national certification as a leader in outstanding testing practices,” says Kyle Jarman, academic services director. “Celeste Powell and the Testing Center staff are diligent in maintaining a welcoming but secure testing environment. Their commitment to maintaining high test administration standards and for providing excellent service to a wide variety of students and community members is greatly appreciated.”

Cameron's Testing Center is responsible for coordinating, administering and scoring a wide range of national, international and local tests for the Cameron community and the general public. Tests offered include the National and On-Campus ACT, CLEP, DSST, SAT and the Institutional TOEFL.
