Cameron University Percussion Ensemble takes the stage




The Cameron University Department of Art, Music and Theatre Arts will present a concert showcasing the CU Percussion Ensemble, on Friday, October 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cameron University Theatre. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students, senior citizens and military members and can be reserved by calling 580-581-2346. CU faculty, students and staff are admitted free with proper identification. Facial coverings are encouraged.

Under the direction of Dr. Jim Lambert, Professor of Music, the CU Percussion Ensemble is made up of Kinsey Boze, Trent Hagood, Harlie Hardage, Peter Macias, William Magee, Kimberly Nyhart, Alyssa Price, Michael Richard and Mykayla Waller.

The ensemble will perform Lynn Glassock’s “Teamwork,” Franz J. Haydn’s “Rondo” arranged for marimba choir, “Concerto for Timpani” by John Beck and “Suite for Solo Drumset” by David Mancini. The latter two pieces will feature music major Will Magee on drumset. He will also be featured on several compositions by Ivan Trevino including “Vessels,” “Anthem” and “Strive to be Happy.”
