Student auditions will be evaluated by a panel of CU faculty members. Participants should be prepared to perform a 6-10 minute solo and will also be asked to complete theory and piano placement tests. Sight-reading is also included as part of the audition process. An accompanist will be available for students who can provide a copy of the music prior to the audition day.

Cameron University offers three degree programs in music: Bachelor of Art in Music, Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Music Education. All three are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. Music majors will find numerous opportunities for continued musical interaction through community performance ensembles and public concerts and recitals. Graduates will gain the skills and knowledge to embark on a professional career as a music educator or music performer.
