Cameron University will dismiss classes at both its Lawton and Duncan campuses in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 19.
Administrative offices will be closed, as will the Eugene D. McMahon Library. The Aggie Rec Center will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Although most campus facilities are closed for the holiday, a question-and-answer session with NAACP national chair Leon W. Russell will take place at 2 p.m. in the Mary Lou and W. Carey Johnson Auditorium in Cynthia S. Ross Hall. The event is free and open to the public. Russell will later give the keynote address at the 42nd annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day banquet sponsored by Cameron Campus Ministries and CU. That event is sold out.
Classes at CU will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 20, with administrative office reopening at 8 a.m.
Tuesday is the last day that students can enroll in classes for the Spring 2026 semester.
