Mandatory Reporter

Cameron University is committed to stopping discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct, preventing the recurrence, eliminating any hostile environment, and remedying the discriminatory effects in action to creating an accessible environment for all, regardless of age. All Cameron University employees are Mandatory Reporters, meaning all knowledge of alleged acts of sexual assault, stalking, dating or domestic violence, sexual harassment, or gender discrimination must be promptly reported to the Equal Opportunity Officer.


Training

Faculty & Staff Training

To enhance the safety and well-being of the Cameron University community, all faculty and staff are required to complete sexual misconduct prevention education each academic year. This prevention education addresses sexual misconduct, including sexual assault, sexual harassment, relationship violence, and stalking, provides tools to challenge and report harmful behavior, and information on how to support someone who has experienced sexual misconduct. Promoting the safety and well-being of our community is a top priority and there is no place for sexual misconduct or discrimination of any kind.

Annually, all faculty and staff are required to complete the Vector online course "Title IX and Sexual Harassment Prevention for Employees". All Cameron University employees are required to complete this course each academic year to fulfill the mandatory requirement and remain up to date on reporting obligations and resources.
