The Embedded Certificate in Criminal Justice Essentials is a 15-credit hour program designed to educate and prepare students from a wide variety of majors, including Psychology, Sociology, and Military Science, to understand the role of the criminal justice system in our society. The curriculum covers law enforcement, correctional systems, criminal courts, and the history of criminal justice efforts in the United States and other countries. Students who earn this certificate will be have an advantage in pursuing employment in a wide array of criminal justice, law enforcement, and correctional settings throughout Oklahoma. The certificate can be completed in traditional and/or online formats.
