Departmental Scholarships
The Department of Social Sciences grants tuition waiver scholarships to eligible Criminal Justice, History, Political Science, Social Studies Education, and Sociology majors at all levels. Application guidelines, eligibility requirements, and deadlines for these scholarships are listed below. In addition, the Financial Assistance Office can help you to apply for federal assistance as well as for other scholarships available to Cameron students in a variety of disciplines.

KF&B Law Academic Scholarship
The scholarship is open to any high school senior, or any college student who isn't in their final year. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the winner’s school’s financial aid department. The scholarship is open to any major, they do not have to be law students.Tuition Waivers
Incoming freshmen who have declared majors in any department major are eligible for tuition waivers from the department. The requirement is that students have earned a 20 on the ACT or equivalent and/or have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or better.
Tuition waivers are available to continuing majors who hold a GPA of 3.0 or above and have completed at least thirty hours at the college level.

Applications received by February 1 of a given year will receive first priority consideration, though applications received by April 1 of a given year will also be considered. Scholarship awards will be disbursed during the following academic year.
