Cameron University offers virtual meetings and Facebook Live events for prospective students

Ready to apply for admission to Cameron University but not sure what to do? Curious about the status of your pending application? CU’s Office of Admissions is making it easy to do both by offering virtual chat meetings with prospective students. Virtual chats can be scheduled with an admissions counselor by visiting www.cameron.edu/visit and selecting a date and time. Virtual meetings are offered at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. Virtual meetings will take place over Zoom. Once the meeting has been scheduled, an admissions counselor will email a Zoom invitation to the individual requesting the meeting along with a confirmation of the day and time of the session.

These virtual meetings are best suited to students who have general questions about Cameron University, the application process, supplemental items needed, and how they can obtain those documents. Admissions counselors can also assist prospective students who need additional information about degree programs, financial assistance and more.

Students whose admissions application is pending can also schedule a chat to determine the status of their application.

“As high school students throughout Oklahoma wrap up their virtual studies, they have questions about the college admissions process,” says Brenda Dally, Director of Admissions. “Cameron University’s admissions counselors are working remotely and are able to assist anyone who has questions about attending CU this summer or fall. This includes high school students who are interested in concurrent classes, adult learners who are interested in pursuing a graduate degree, and high school seniors who are graduating this semester. In lieu of face-to-face meetings in the office, we are offering virtual opportunities to answer questions and provide information.”

In addition, the CU Office of Admissions will also be hosting a series of Facebook Live Events every Friday from 3-3:30 p.m. Prospective and current students who join the events can post questions pertaining to admissions and financial aid that will be answered in real-time by university staff members. The live events will be found on the Cameron University Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CameronUniversity.
