Jari Askins, J.D.


Jari Askins currently serves as interim president of Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, and its branch campus in Duncan.

Cameron University is a state-supported public institution that grants associate, baccalaureate and master’s degrees and serves more than 3,000 students. Cameron is under the governance of the Board of Regents of the University of Oklahoma, Cameron University and Rogers State University.

A native of Duncan, she has a lengthy history of service to the public that includes being the state’s lieutenant governor, serving a dozen years in the Oklahoma legislature (including as Democratic minority leader in the House), as Administrative Director of the Courts, and now as interim president of Cameron University.
