Student Office Assistant - School of Arts and Sciences
The Student Office Assistant will work directly with the Administrative Assistant II to perform a variety of tasks serving students, faculty and guests. A successful candidate must have excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills because this position interacts with the public, university administrators, faculty and students. Applicants should have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Google Suites and Outlook. The student worker must be dependable, punctual and adhere to a strict policy of confidentiality. This position is a 20 hour work week. Training will be provided to ensure employee is knowledgeable of the essential responsibilities.
- Answering phones and taking messages
- Greeting faculty and students
- Preparing out-going mail
- Running department errands
- Preparing, filing, faxing and scanning a variety of documents
- Operating computer systems and performing data entry
- Other duties as assigned
