Cameron University places Narcan vending machine on Lawton campus


In partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS), Cameron University has placed a Narcan vending machine at its Lawton campus. CU is the first university in Oklahoma to offer this resource, which contains Naloxone and Fentanyl test strip kits that are available to any individual at no charge. The equipment is located on the south side of the McMahon Centennial Complex.


Military Veterans Resource Fair aimed at active duty service members, veterans and dependents


Active members of the U.S. Armed Forces, veterans and dependents are invited to Cameron University’s Military Veterans Resource Fair slated for Monday, November 6, and Tuesday, November 7. The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the first floor of the McMahon Centennial Complex. The building is located at University Drive and D Avenue. Visitor parking is available across the street.


Cameron University names David Kaine as director of human resources


Cameron University alumnus David Kaine has joined the staff of CU as director of human resources. He brings more than 15 years experience in human resources, serving as director of human resources for the Kiowa Casino before moving into general management in 2021. His expertise includes the areas of benefits and compensation, compliance regulations, mediation and issue resolution, training and onboarding, documentation and reporting, and team building and leadership.


Prospective students invited to Cameron Campus Preview Day


High school students and their parents are invited to Cameron Campus Preview Day, an informational event for prospective college students that will provide a jam-packed look at the admissions process, campus life, financial assistance, degree programs and what it means to be a Cameron Aggie in one setting. The multi-faceted event is set for Wednesday, November 15. Cameron University students undertake undergraduate research in space weather and observation astronomy


While pursuing baccalaureate degrees in the disciplines of chemistry, physics and engineering, three Cameron University students have also ventured into the realm of outer space by conducting undergraduate research projects that have them casting their critical thinking and analytical skills beyond the classroom. Under the mentorship of Dr. Susmita Hazra, Dalton Chase, Jennifer Lane and SheKayla Love are participating in research projects related to space weather and observational astronomy.



Trombone recital to feature guest performer Philip Martinson


The Cameron University Department of Art, Music and Theatre Arts will present guest artist Philip Martinson on trombone on Thursday, October 26. The recital will take place at 7:30 p.m. in McCutcheon Recital Hall. The recital will feature the works of composer Brian Sadler, a Musician First Class and trombonist/arranger in the U.S. Navy Fleet Bands. Dr. Lucas Kaspar, an assistant professor of music at CU, will join Martinson for two selections. All works on the recitals will use pre-recorded accompaniment, including natural and synthetic sounds.
