What’s Open, What’s Not (UPDATED)

Cameron University has begun a phased reopening of its campus. The following locations (all or a portion) are open for employees, students, and visitor access: 

  • CU-Duncan 
  • Academic Commons
  • Aggie Mile
  • Art Building
  • Burch Hall
  • Cameron Village McMahon Living & Learning Center
  • Center for Emerging Technology & Entrepreneurial Studies (CETES)
  • Communication Building (Art, Music, & Theatre Arts entrance)
  • Community Garden (reservations required for plots)
  • Disc Golf Course
  • Howell Hall
  • McMahon Centennial Complex (One-Stop and Bookstore)
  • McMahon Foundation Tennis Courts (after resurfacing is completed)
  • Music Building
  • Nance-Boyer Hall
  • North Shepler Tower (floors 1 and 5)
  • Ross Hall
  • Sciences Complex
  • Shepler Center (cafeteria access pending)
  • South Shepler Tower (floors 1-4 and floor 6)
  • Terry Bell Golf Center (exterior areas only)

These locations (all or a portion) are open for employees and students enrolled in Summer 2020 and/or Fall 2020 classes with valid CU ID required for entry:

  • Aggie Rec Center (Only the pool, walking track, and strength/weight/cardio machines are available.)
  • Cameron Village, Units E and F (residents only)
  • Library (specific portions available for use will be announced later)

These locations (all or a portion) will remain locked, but are available to employees, and to others by appointment:

  • Administration Building
  • Cameron Stadium (accessible to Lawton Public Schools employees and contractors only)
  • Cameron Village demonstration apartment (for campus tours of housing facilities)
  • CETES Conference Center
  • Communication Building (other than Art, Music, & Theatre Arts area)
  • McMahon Centennial Complex (first floor food court, game room, and seating; and second floor)
  • McMahon Field & Athletics Center (treatment of athletic injuries available by appointment)
  • North Shepler Tower (floors 2-4)
  • South Shepler Tower (floor 5 and 7) (Room 731 for campus tours of housing facilities)

These locations are scheduled to be closed to employees, students, and visitors:

  • Aggie Gym 
  • Cameron Exchange
  • Conwill Hall
  • Haggar Hall
  • McCord Field
  • Shepler Towers dormitory floors
  • University Theatre

Any locations not listed are locked and closed to students and to the public, but climate-controlled and available for employee access during July 2020.
