Presidential Investiture
Cameron University is honored to celebrate the formal installation of Dr. C. Shane Hunt as its 18th president. Members of the Aggie Family, friends of the university, members of the Lawton-Fort Sill community, and delegates from institutions of higher learning, learned societies and professional organizations are invited to join the celebratory events.
An investiture is an academic tradition – a formal ceremony in which a new university president is formally installed in his position. But more than that, it is a celebration of the university itself: its mission, the tenacity of its students, the stature of its faculty, and the institution’s pursuit of knowledge. It involves the presentation of the symbols of office and signifies the president’s acceptance of stewardship of his institution
