Teacher Assistant - Physics Lab

The Department of Chemistry, Physics & Engineering is looking for student workers for physics lab assistant to work up to 10-15 hours per week and the minimum of six hours. The student must be eligible for state or federal funding. Duties will include, but are not limited to helping students with questions they may have and help set up/tear down lab equipment. This position is available to all Physics & Engineering majors. This position offers a variety of responsibilities that will help a student to build a career portfolio to help with obtaining a full-time position upon graduation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have successfully completed at least two semesters of Physics. Applicants should also possess at least the basic knowledge of computers and have good oral and written communication skills and organizational skills. They must have the ability to multi-task and a willingness to work as a member of a team is required. Applicant must also be able to adhere to a strict policy of confidentiality.
