Student Worker - Development
The Office for University Advancement is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented student worker to assist with database integrity, records maintenance, and general office support. This position will focus on ensuring information is accurate, complete, organized, and up to date.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with information, has strong attention to detail, and can complete repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently. This position provides valuable experience with data management, office technology, organization, and professional workplace practices.
What You’ll Do:
● Research and collect information using databases, spreadsheets, and other office systems.
● Assist with data clean-up and organization projects.
● Organize and maintain electronic and paper records.
● Perform routine data quality checks and investigate information that may need additional review.
● Maintain confidentiality when working with university records and information.
● Assist with scanning, filing, document organization, and other administrative tasks.
● Work collaboratively with staff and other student workers to help ensure office and event activities run smoothly.
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
● Is highly detail-oriented and takes pride in accurate work.
● Is able to prioritize and complete tasks independently while meeting deadlines.
● Has strong organizational and time-management skills.
● Is comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, and computer systems.
● Has basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar programs.
● Can identify errors and inconsistencies in information.
● Is comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
● Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
● Is willing to learn new software, systems, and processes.
