Student Office Receptionist - Duncan Campus

The Duncan Campus is currently looking for a well-rounded, qualified individual to serve as Student Office Receptionist 10 to 15 hours per week. The Student Office Receptionists will work directly with the Administrative Assistant and office staff to perform a variety of tasks connected to serving the front counter and the office.

Receptionist duties include, but are not limited to screening calls and visitors to direct them to the appropriate office or individual; maintaining office calendar; student files; mail logs; and vendor refund logs. The successful candidate will be able to communicate in a clear, positive, and professional manner with the public, university administrators, faculty, and students. Other necessary skills are operating a computer, performing data entry, copying/faxing/scanning and preparing/proofreading a variety of documents. Duties also include performing textbook/calculator checkout; maintaining accurate time sheets; attending meetings and/or training sessions deemed necessary by the Administrative Assistant and/or Director; and performing other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Applicant should have excellent computer skills, good oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks. Applicant must be able to adhere to a strict policy of confidentiality; possess a basic knowledge of office procedures; and maintain the willingness to work as a team member as well as work independently. Applicant should have leadership characteristics and possess the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. Student is required to be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours per semester.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Prefer knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007 Word and Excel.

SALARY: $10.00/hour
