student office assistant - department of communication, English and foreign languages
The Department of Communication, English and Foreign languages is seeking a reliable and self-motivated student office assistant to work up to 20 hours per week. The amount of hours and schedule are flexible and depend on your class schedule.
Duties
Duties include but are not limited to answering phones, taking messages, welcoming visitors, delivering documents and materials between campus buildings, copying/scanning, filing, organizing, and performing inventory of departmental supplies. You may also be asked to assist departmental faculty and staff with special events, administrative tasks, and other duties as needed. Depending on experience and training, you may also be asked to assist with departmental social media content creation and communication.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should be punctual, reliable, and able to work without constant supervision. Applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills and basic computer literacy including proficiency with Google Docs and Microsoft Office. Strong organizational skills are required, including the ability to file alphabetically and chronologically and accurately perform inventory counts. Office Assistants need to be able to lift and carry 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in a professional office environment.
• Familiarity with CU campus locations.
• Experience with social media content creation.
