Student Lab Assistant - Sports and

Exercise Science

We are looking for a Student worker to work up to 15 flexible hours per week. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: conditional supervision of both Sport and Exercise Science Labs, learning the Exercise Physiology and Therapeutic Exercise lab equipment, performing assessments for students and the community, assisting the instructors with classes, data entry on Microsoft word and excel, copying, printing, and preparing materials, assisting in research projects, making calls, assisting at events and performing other related tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be a Sports and Exercise Science major, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and have current CPR/AED certification. Completion of Physiology of Exercise course or equivalent is preferred. Applicants should have an excellent work ethic (i.e. arriving in and leaving work on the scheduled time, possessing good communication skills in both oral and written form, willingness to work as a dependable team member as well as the capability to work independently, having good organizational skills and time management between work and study). Applicants should be able to work with basic computer software programs such as Word and Excel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants with a strong academic standing, successful completion of Physiology of Exercise class or current enrollment, experience with computer programs, and knowledge of campus/campus activities are preferred.
