Student Assistant - Human Resources

The Human Resources Department is looking for a professional student who is interested in gaining experience with the Human Resources team. HR Student Assistant will maintain daily filing. Other duties for the HR Student Assistant include but are not limited to computer data entry, assisting in bulk mailings, copying, shredding, assisting with various Human Resources projects, posting information around campus, greeting visitors to the office, answering phones and emails, as well as other Human Resources support duties as assigned. Scheduled hours per week will be no greater than 20 hours per week, including summer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be punctual, dependable and possess a positive attitude.

• Good working knowledge of WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK.

• Good oral and written communications skills.

• Detail-orientated while completing repetitive tasks.

• Demonstrate strong organizational skills, able to multi-task.

• Must be able to work flexible hours.

• Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor and conduct.

• Must be able to file alphabetically and chronologically.

• Must be able to answer phones and greet visitors in a clear, professional and courteous manner.

• Must be able to adhere to a strict confidentiality policy with all information within Human Resources, whether information is gained directly or indirectly.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

Operating of standard office equipment. Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time. Engage in repetitive motion of wrist, hands and/or fingers. Able to crouch and/or bend. Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
