ITS Help Desk Student Technician - ITS

The position is ideal for a student with existing tech skills or the desire to gain tech related skills. Duties include (but are not limited to) phone support, remote support, and on-site support for faculty and staff on campus; troubleshooting hardware and software; assisting with the training of new work-study employees; and working on projects to further assist the support capabilities of the Help Desk.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be willing to learn, have good people skills, high level of patience, and a basic understanding of professionalism. Applicants must be currently enrolled at Cameron University to qualify for the work study position.

PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A working knowledge of and experience with Windows XP/ Vista/7/8/10, Office 2010/2013/2016, Adobe Products, cleaning/repairing computers infected with spyware/ malware, Internet support of Aggie Access, hardware components, and hardware troubleshooting/upgrades/ replacements are great. A working knowledge of and experience in a Help Desk environment would be considered a plus. Expertise in mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets would also be an advantage.
