Distance Learning/Accessibility Student Position - Distance Learning

The Distance Learning Office has an immediate opening for dependable students committed to learning a new skill and then performing high-quality work in a comfortable, quiet, and friendly environment. Student employees in this position will review and edit (remediate) university documents to ensure our documents are accessible to all readers. Training is provided and the student employees will be compensated during the training process.

Student employees will work for the Office of Distance Learning and report directly to the Distance Learning Specialist. The initial work includes learning about document accessibility (a valuable skill to add to a resume). After learning new skills, the employee will begin testing and remediating documents and other content into accessible PDF’s that meet federal and state requirements. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Enrolled in at least 6 hours

• Academic record that demonstrates dependability and learner readiness

• Microsoft Suite experience

• Commitment to professionalism and confidentiality

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Adobe Acrobat DC experience

• GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Relevant college coursework.
