Communication, English and Foreign Languages Department Assistant 

The Department of Communication, English and Foreign languages is seeking a reliable and self-motivated student office assistant to work up to 20 hours per week. The number of hours and schedule are flexible and can work around your class schedule.

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to answering phones, taking messages, welcoming visitors, answering questions, delivering documents and materials between campus buildings, copying/scanning, filing, organizing, and performing inventory of departmental supplies. You may also be asked to assist departmental faculty and staff with special events and other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should be punctual, reliable, and able to work without constant supervision. Applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills and basic computer literacy including proficiency with Google Docs and Microsoft Office. Strong organizational skills are required, including the ability to file alphabetically and chronologically and accurately perform inventory counts. Office Assistants need to be able to lift and carry 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a professional office environment.

• Familiarity with CU campus locations.
