student office assistant - student enrichment center

The Student Enrichment Center (SEC) is seeking a reliable and motivated Student Office Assistant to support daily operations and provide high-quality service to Cameron University students. This student position allows for up to 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling based on the student's class schedule and the needs of the department.

Duties

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Greeting and assisting students, staff, and campus guests in a professional and welcoming manner

• Answering phones, returning calls, and taking accurate messages

• Monitoring and responding to office emails with professionalism

• Scanning, shredding, filing, and organizing documents, many of which may be confidential

• Assisting with workshop prep and/or student events, as needed

• Running errands across campus and delivering documents

• Other duties as assigned, which may include assisting with data entry or scheduling appointments

Minimum Qualifications

• Punctual, dependable, and able to work with limited supervision

• Professional oral and written communication skills

• Friendly demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine desire to help others

• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), internet navigation, and file management

• Must maintain confidentiality and represent the Student Enrichment Center positively

• Must be Work-Study eligible (for information refer to https://www.cameron.edu/hr/student-employment)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a professional office setting

• Familiarity with campus locations and student support services

• Interest in student advocacy, resource navigation, or event support
