Endowed Chairs


Virginia Brewczynski Endowed Chair

In July 1994, The Lawton Retail Merchants Association established the Virginia Brewczynski Endowed Chair. Proceeds from this chair advance the teaching of leadership in business.

The B.H. Brewer Endowed Chair in Education

Funded in February 2006 by the Estate of B. H. Brewer to advance the study of education in Southwest Oklahoma.

The Flora Brewer Endowed Chair in Education

Funded in February 2006 by the Estate of B. H. Brewer to advance the study of education in Southwest Oklahoma.

Independent Insurance Agents of Lawton, Inc. Endowed Chair

Established in June 1989 to help sponsor the Business Research Center in the business department and conduct a monthly Business Forum available to all Southwest Oklahoma.

McCasland Endowed Chair

Established by the McCasland Foundation in October 1989 to plan and conduct the Festivals program. This chair has provided the primary support for Cameron's festival years, Year of the Renaissance; A Celebration of Diversity; Science, Technology and the Twenty-First Century; Bridging the Millennia; and Beyond Borders, Globalization and the Human Experience.

McCasland Endowed Chair in Educational Leadership

Established by the McCasland Foundation in October 2004 to advance the study of educational and school leadership and administration.

Mary Dixie Mullin Endowed Chair in the Sciences and Joseph H. Mullin Endowed Chair in Agriculture

In May 1994, the Mary Dixie Mullin Endowed Chair in the Sciences and the Joseph H. Mullin Endowed Chair in Agriculture were established by the estate of their daughter, Joyce Elizabeth (Mullin) Hansen. Proceeds from these chairs will serve to advance innovative programs in their respective fields.


Louise D. McMahon Endowed Chair in Music

Established by the McMahon Foundation in February 2003 to advance the study of music at Cameron University.

Clarence E. Page Endowed Chair

In July 1992, the Clarence E. Page Foundation established the Clarence E. Page Endowed Chair. Income from the endowment is used to explore innovative ways to teach science and math to elementary school students. This endowment has enabled Cameron to create an annual space camp for teachers and students and helped to develop curriculum for gifted, disadvantaged and Native American students.

Dorothy S. Tobias Endowed Chair in Chemistry

Established in June 2007 by former Cameron students Dr. Paul Laursen, his wife, Kay, and sister, Darlene Rector, in memory of former Cameron Professor Dorothy Tobias. The purpose of the endowment is to advance the quality of instruction and research in the study of chemistry.
