Letter From The Chair
Welcome to Cameron University Army ROTC!
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the Cameron University Army ROTC program. Our program is a premier leadership development program that prepares full-time undergraduate and graduate students to become confident, capable leaders—both in military service and in their communities.
Through a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on leadership labs, physical fitness training, and field exercises, our Department of Military Science develops the leadership, critical thinking, teamwork, and decision-making skills required of future Army officers. More importantly, these skills extend far beyond graduation, providing a foundation for success in any profession or walk of life.
Whether your goal is to serve on Active Duty Army, the Army National Guard or U.S. Army Reserve, or simply develop the leadership skills that employers value, Cameron Army ROTC offers unmatched opportunities for personal and professional growth.
If you are ready to challenge yourself, grow as a leader, and make a difference, we invite you to visit us in Burch Hall, Room 110. Our cadre and staff are ready to answer your questions and help you explore the many opportunities available through Army ROTC. We look forward to meeting you and helping you take the first step toward becoming a leader of character.
Respectfully,
Christopher L. McWhirter
