Academic Advising Center Outcomes

  1. Students will develop skills needed to follow degree requirements
  2. Students will make informed academic decisions
  3. Students will be aware of University resources
  4. Students will be satisfied with Academic Advising Center
  5. First Time Freshman students will persist from fall to spring
  6. First Time Freshman students will persist from spring to fall

Developmental Education Outcomes

  1. Students will successfully complete required developmental coursework within the first 24 hours of college credits.
  2. Students successfully completing their development coursework in mathematics or English will enroll in a first college level course in that discipline within one year. 
  3. Students who have successfully completed their developmental coursework in mathematics or English and are enrolled in a first college-level course in that discipline will successfully  complete that course within two years. 
  4. Students who have successfully completed their developmental coursework in reading will demonstrate college readiness on an approved reading placement test.
  5. Students will demonstrate discipline specific skills in English that indicate college preparedness in the discipline. 
  6. Students will demonstrate discipline specific skills in mathematics that indicate college preparedness in the discipline.
  7. Students enrolling in mandatory tutoring will successfully complete the companion course in the discipline.
  8. Students successfully completing remediation by supplemental instruction will be successful in the co-requisite college-level course.
  9. Students needing developmental classes will enroll in co-requisite courses.

Student Support Services Outcomes

  1. Students will understand the basic knowledge of financial literacy.
  2. Students receiving tutoring from the SSS math and/or SSS writing tutorial labs will be satisfied with their tutoring experience.
  3. Students receiving advisement from their SSS academic advisor or the freshman guidance specialist will be satisfied with the advisement experience.
  4. Students in the SSS Program will persist from fall to the subsequent fall.
  5. Students in the SSS Program will be in good academic standing for the academic year.
  6. Students in the SSS Program will graduate with a bachelor's degree within six years of joining the program.

The Testing Center Outcomes

  1. Constituents in contact with the Testing Center will receive accurate and complete information regarding available tests, rationale for test selection, and/or testing procedures.
  2. Students taking computerized placement tests will understand the implications of their test scores.
  3. Constituents will be served in an efficient and courteous manner.

Tutoring Centers Outcomes

  1. Student tutors will explain content to students using understandable language and other pedagogical techniques.
  2. Students will visit the Cameron University tutoring centers, specifically the Mathematics Lab, Center for Writers, and Center for Academic Success.
  3. Students will indicate their level of satisfaction with various aspects of their experience in a Cameron tutoring center.
  4. Students will use content and skills learned in the tutoring centers to complete work assigned in their courses.

University Success Courses Outcomes

  1. Students will apply effective study strategies.
  2. Students will explain personal responsibility and self-management in relationship to their academic success.
  3. Students will identify Cameron University resources, policies, and services.
  4. Students who are enrolled in UNIV 1001 and UNIV 1113 will enroll in the subsequent semester.
