Student Office Receptionist – Duncan Campus

Job Description

The Student Office Receptionists will work directly with the Administrative Assistant and office staff to perform a variety of tasks serving our students, faculty and guests.  This position required the ability to communicate in a clear, positive and professional manner. The student Office Receptionist interacts with the public, university administrators, faculty and students.

Duties include:
• Screening calls and visitors to direct them to the appropriate office or individual
• Operating a computer and performing data entry
• Preparing, proofreading, faxing and scanning a variety of documents
•Maintaining the office calendar
•Maintaining student files
•Maintaining logs for mail, checks and testing supply sales
•Checking out textbooks and calculators
•Maintaining accurate timesheets
•Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent oral and written communication skills, good computer skills and the ability to prioritize tasks appropriately. We are looking for a candidate who is able to work independently and as part of a team, who exhibits leadership characteristics and possesses the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. The ability to adhere to a strict policy of confidentiality is an absolute requirement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007 Word and Excel.
